After first meeting in Greenwich Village, NYC, I didn’t suspect that we would later become roommates in Glen Park, SF. What a friendship we have forged since then.

Here we are celebrating your 50th birthday! And, I am so glad we are still in each other’s lives. Thank you for teaching me the

cooking basics, all those years ago, and sharing a love for food and some of the indulgences in life. Thank you for all of your years of love, support and friendship. Let’s just call it family—ship at this point.

So glad to be spending time with you and Helena soon.

Here’s to forming that bond at 642 Chenery. And, here’s to making it to 50! (You’re still younger than me.) Happy birthday, my friend. I only wish you the very best.
